Your Departure Verification
Required by the United States immigration law before you leave the country

  1. Turn in your I-94 slip
  2. Check in as per the US-VISIT Exit procedure.  Refer to an airport official for the airport’s US-VISIT exit procedure.

Suggestion Before Leaving USA

1. Photocopies of Important Documents
In case of lost passport etc, make a couple of photocopies of the I-94 and passport/visa and keep it in a safe place.  Keep one copy in your hand bag. These documents are useful in case you loose your passport etc.

2.  Luggage Weight
Check with your flight airlines about the luggage weight limits and prepare the luggage accordingly.  If weight or number of luggage goes over the limit a fee will be charged by the airlines.

3. Home Country Custom Rules
If you are carrying any gifts, make sure you are aware of the custom rules of your country so that you don't have to face any issues at customs in your country.  For example, some countries do not allow live plants or dairy products from other countries to be brought over in such a manner.

4.  Give Yourself Time for Checking In
At the day of departure reach the airport at least 2 hours before the departure time, since you need some time for checking in and going through airport security, etc.
